It's... surprisingly fun, and deals with some of the same issues.<br /><br />I think the thing that might turn vampires conceptually from thieves into strange but not bad people could be if they kept their own animals rather than taking blood from other people's. A vampire-run pig or cattle farm, say, where they could accept a lower growth rate from the animals in return for feeding themselves as they went along.
