They're handy for that purpose because you don't have the singularity at the north/south poles that you get if you use Euler rotations. (I think if I recall correctly this singularity is the equivalent of gimbal lock?) The trick is that the quaternion rotations involve an extra parameter and corresponding normalization constraint.<br /><br />Unfortunately, the class was a while ago, though, and I never grokked it at the time.Packbathttp://packbat.net/w/noreply@blogger.com
